Ok so first of all, here are the results for the Love and Favour talisman I have been carrying around with me. I can honestly say that to my surprise I had a noticeably nicer week than usual. People stopping their cars to let me pass, offering me things lending me money. However for the Love aspect it seems it fell flat. But that’s okay, because I’m putting it down to the Mastic being missing.

The next spell will be for ‘hooking up’. It will be with the Moon in the 8th Mansion which is the start of Cancer. I will do it at night with the Moon in the fifth house which is the House of Play. It will be a traditional Moon candle spell, on which I will gage the improvements made by the Mansion. ’3′ jumped like a chocolate bar in a weightwatcher meeting. ’2′ pulled but looses interest as the night goes on. ’1′ interest but the spell is not powerful enough to stop me messing it up.  The result will follow in the next blog with the rating but little detail obviously. I am invocating Amnediel who is the angel of the Mansion and I shall include a description of how he has appeared and reacted also.

FYI I cancelled the property spell as Saturn is in Retrograde and I was worried it would effect the spell as it deals with property.

Hi all!

Today I received the Lion skin part that will be made in to the belt of the Goetia. It was a perfect piece that has not been tempered with which I am glad for since I want to do that part my self. It really is a beautiful skin that is hard to describe the feeling of without holding it in your own hands.

You will be able to read about how I made the things still needed to be done in Volume II in the Series on Grimoire Magic. I will also video tape all that I do so it will be easy to follow. An alternative to using a real lion skin belt will also be presented in the book and video. Will take a while to finish that project and I need to finish volume I in the series first of all since it is a primer to all following books. I hope you can all live with me being a bit slow on finishing the stuff:) I do way to many things at the same time.

Brazilianguy made some good questions regarding the book I am working on that I think deserves its own blog reply.

His questions were:

Can you tell us if the book gives examples of results obtained with the rituals, as well as methods of verifying if the entity summoned is present (in case of evocations)?

Also, will the book teach the student how to tackle any grimoire?

My reply:

This first book will be a primer and is mainly for two purposes. First is to introduce the reader to the concept of grimoire magic. So it is very general. Second is to create a base of knowledge for coming books in the series. So this one will not go in to results much or specific techniques since they differ a lot among the grimoires. It is generic though so most of the knowledge in it will apply to many different grimoires.

The next book on the other hand will be purely practical as I will go thru each step of the Goetia and will end with an evocation. So everything from how to get the items needed, preparing the items, fasting and the actual evocation. As a bonus I will actually video tape what I do so it will be possible to get it all on a few DVD’s as well. That includes the final evocation. Difference is that the book will go deeper in to details then the video. So you will get those answers first of all for the Goetia.

What I come up with for book 3 I have not decided yet. All I know is that I want it to be different from other things out there. My goal with this has from the beginning been about doing fresh material with the exception perhaps with the first book that will be rather basic for already established grimoire magicians but my hopes is that it also will create a door in for people interested in it but who think it is to much to handle.

Most people don’t realise this, but Moon Mansions are not commonly accepted among the majority of Astrologers, I myself am one of those doubtful astrologers. However in the fairness I am going to make a talisman for each of the major categories. Thus one for love, one for gain, one for treasure etc, I will perform one a week and give the results the next post in a weeks time.

The first that I made was last Friday, and it was for love and favour. The Moon Mansion that I chose was the 26th. It was chosen because of the beneficial astrology of the time. The Moon has to be in Aquarius to Pisces to fit the Moon Mansion thus as that astrologically is not good for the Moon in my opinion, the placing of it must be made favourable by other planets. Venus who rules love is in its own sign; Taurus which is excellent. From there I took the Sepher Raziel as my guide to the houses. According to the Book the Moon joys in the 3rd house, and Venus joys in the 5th. In the day of Venus in the hour of the Moon (as I’m doing a Moon Mansion) Venus was in the 5th and the Moon was in the 3rd. I now had my hour and day, but what did I do?
According to the Magus: In the twenty-sixth, for love and favour, they sealed, in white wax and mastich, the figure of a woman washing and combing her hair; and they perfumed it with good odours. So I set about drawing a naked woman washing and combing her hair. (probably the most enjoyable part) I then moved into my circle and melted a white candle over the top, sealing the image in the white wax, turning it and doing the same the other side so it was completely engulfed. (No Mastich) While still in my circle I invocated Gabriel, the angel of the Moon predominantly and Tagriel the angel of the Moon Mansion. I then sprayed the talisman with perfume.

I will carry this with me for the next week and give it every opportunity to work. Hopefully I will have something to report in my next post next week despite my missing of the tree resin. I mean hell they may have had resign and perfumes but they hardly had Joop the nicest smelling spray I have. : ) I do not have my own blog by the way, but Maestro Nestor is kind enough to let my post here, so please contact me concerning this in the comments area.

This is an unedited part that deals with the relations to God when working grimoires. The text might change some before the book goes to print.

God or Gods

God or gods are important in Grimoire magic because when we work with these entities we are doing it thru our divine spark. In theory we all are creations of god no matter what god or gods you choose to believe in and it is thought that we all have an inner part of god in us often called the divine spark. It is thru that we can actually do magic. Many believe that Moses was taught magic on the Sinai Mountain while he also received the books of Moses. So in Judaism, Christianity and Islam mythology Moses was the first magician and it was with that magic King Solomon built his temple of by ordering an army of demons to do the building of the temple. So the connection to the grimoires is rather obvious.

In more or less all the grimoires the religions inspiring them is Judaism, Christianity or Islam. That means they all share a rather similar concept and that many of the textures for these religions apply to more than one of the religions. You do not need to be a deeply religious person to do this magic but you needs to believe in the entities you are invoking or evoking. If you do not do that you will not succeed in your work. It is important though to understand that your personal faith can be far from how most religious people view their religion.

There are some things you need to be able to accept when working with the grimoires regarding its relationship with religion. First thing you need to be able to accept is that their design is including many religious ideas and theory. Also you cannot change that design unless you know exactly why it is designed that way. Many of the magicians in the times the grimoires were written were highly religious people and sometimes even priests. You also need to have a belief in the spirit world and have some sort of belief in a higher being symbolized by God. All you have to be able to do is to apply your own belief structure to fit in with Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

Basically the demands to be able to do this kind of magic can be summarized in to being able to accept the following. There is a higher intelligence that in part exists in all humans. The magic works thru that part of that intelligence that is in us and it lets us control a number of higher and lower beings in the spiritual world. The symbols and words used in this kind of magic fits in to a larger design often based on a religious system. Changes to these symbols and words cannot be changed without fully understanding the design. The important part in the grimoires is not how you perceive the spiritual; it is how the grimoire makers perceived it that matters.

If one can accept those terms it does not matter if you personally believe that God is actually called “Spiderman” or “Jehovah”. Nor does it matter how you perceive the spiritual world, at least not to be able to perform the magic in the grimoires. All that matters is that you can look beyond your own belief structure and apply it to the grimoires belief structure or at least are willing to set aside your own belief structure and apply another one. If you cannot do this you will be better of finding another system of magic to work with.

It is also very important to figure your belief system out before you start working with this kind of magic. You do not want to go head to head with a demon and be insecure about your own beliefs. Also remember that most churches consider this kind of work to be the work of the devil and that it will judge you to an existence in hell after life. Not that I agree with this but unless you are very sure that you will not agree with that in the future you perhaps should reconsider doing this or any kind of magic.

I thought I would make an update on the different projects I am working on at the moment and some of my coming projects as well. At the moment I am working on another essay for another anthology that I am trying to finish. The project it self is a part of bigger project I have decided to do to preserve a belief system within Satanism I was involved in for a lot of years. The article will be mostly inspired work but the actual book will be with all the necessary footnotes where you can read the texts and parts of texts that inspired that belief system from the beginning. At first I will just finish the article and then the book will have to be put on hold to be able to finish other projects first.

Second I am still working on my book on grimoires magic which will be a primer to understand the kind of grimoire magic I do. It is meant to erase some of the difficulties that many new people feel towards the grimoires and hopefully make the art more accessible to people. My new deadline for a raw copy the finished book will be at the Grimoire Gathering.

Third thing I am working on now is a translation of a Swedish Black Arts Book called A Westbo Priests magical Solomonical arts that will further prove the connection between Solomonic magic and folk magic. I am hoping to have most of it done at the Grimoire Gathering so I can present them both to Sorita and David at the Gathering.

My fourth project that I will start on as soon as the above are done is probably the most exiting project of them all. It will be the next book in the Grimoire Magic series and it will be a practical guide to the Goetia. What I am planning to do is to start from the beginning and do all steps that needs to be made before the actual Evocation of a spirit. Every single step I take will be written down and I will give alternative solutions to most things. Everything will also be Video taped so I hope you guys will understand my English:) In the end I will videotape the actual evocation as well and I will be placing out things like EMF meters, do EVP tapes and hopefully even bring in a heat camera to it. Might get some rather interesting results from that. It will in other words be a book and a bunch of videos on CD. Everything should be crystal clear after that how to work the Goetia. Some of you can probably already guess what my next project will be:) Right now I am in the process of collecting all the material needed for this project. If anyone would be interested in assisting me during the final evocation I would be happy to have some help. That is still far away in time though.
