So me and Henrik Holmdahl got together to perform the rite. After putting up the altar and modifying the ritual to fit our needs we started to shoot it. It was not until after we realized that the full moon was huge and slight yellow shining. A very beautiful sight. Afterward we went to a crossroad in a small forest to place out the offering food. We stopped at a place where you could see the crossroad and saw at first a dark shape that later lit up with light on the way to the crossroad. Could it have been Hekate her self checking out our offerings perhaps?
Anyway here is the ritual performed in Swedish!
Hekate: The Rite of Her Sacred Fires
It will also be uploaded to the official youtube site that you can find here!
I would also like to say a big thank you to Sorita D’Este for organizing all of it and to Henrik for translating it to Swedish and for doing the ritual with me.
Tonight the Moon is in the 20th Mansion for where I live. So I will be putting it to good use. The 20th Mansion “helps for the taming of wild beasts, for the strengthening of prisons, it destroys the wealth of societies, it compels a man to come to a certain place” So today I am going to do a binding of some of the higher Jupiter Spirits.
I have used this before and always to good effect. The 10th hour of the night would be profitable. If where you live it is not in the 20th Mansion yet then alter the spirits you are to bind according to what day it is. I usually get visited after bindings but not always.
Take a Pentacle of wax and write the names of God, El, YHVH, AGLA, ADONAY, SHADDAI around the edge. Then the names of the angels of the day four times, then the seals of the angels so that it makes a box. Now inscribe the name of the demon in the centre and begin your invocation and binding. You should let the wax set at the end of the hour before (9th of the night), but do not inscribe until the 10th hour of the night. Whenever you call the demon then show it the pentacle and it should obey.
if the Moon is not in the 20th Mansion until tomorrow, then wait until the 3rd hour which is the hour of the Moon. Binding Venus spirits of course. You can set the wax and inscribe in that hour
The blog is called The Writers Blog and is written by a friend of mine named Richard AKA TolkaScrolls. His main area of expertise is the planets and the grimoires. An area I suck at so we compliment each other very well. I am really looking forward to him and me doing some rad experiments when I get well again and hope you will find his work as inspiring as I have. Hopefully he will also find time to do a blog here at Grimoire Magic Blogs once in a while. He is also working on a book on his subject that I for one will buy as soon as it comes out!
Go check his blog out I do not think you will regret that you did!
Richard, thanks for all you have contributed to this blog and for the new great blog you are providing the magic scene.
My very confusing Altar!
25/05/10
Talk about a mixed altar! Gonna build a new one for solomonical magic purposes this summer.

An international act of devotion to the Goddess Hekate will be taking place on the Full Moon of Thursday, 27th of May 2010. The Rite of Her Sacred Fires can be performed by itself, or as part of a larger ceremony.
Click here for information and downloading the ritual.
I have recently been discussing the concept of Rune Magics existence in pre Christian times. All of the people have been convinced that it is proven without doubt that the runes were used magically during the time of the Vikings. Note that I am talking about using the rues magically and not just use the runes to write down a curse or whatever. Since there are even Christian magic written on rune stones and that hardly qualify as rune magic. They base this on a few things. First of all the different Sagas. Secondly the Poetic Edda. Gravestones and amulets that have curses and so on them. Some even use Galdrabok as an example. One person even said it was before it was written down by Christians an oral tradition and use that as proof.
Let look at the texts first. The Sagas were mostly written after even Iceland was Christian so it proves absolutely nothing. They are also Sagas and not meant to be taken as instructions in any way. If that reasoning that a saga could be used for a solid proof of magical use I could then in a few hundred years use Buffy or Charmed as proof of a system that was practiced and write a book about it. If that was enough as proof we could say that Solomonic magic is also older because of older Sagas and Legends talking about Solomons magic.
The oldest surviving version of the Poetic Edda is from about 1240. Also after Iceland was Christian. They say it is obvious that older versions existed but have been destroyed. Now why can we not say that about the Key of Solomon and use that as proof. Well because it is just a belief and not a proven fact. The Edda is also a poetic work and should be taken with a big grain of salt.
Galdrabok is also a Christian project that people now think was written far after the 1500′s as it claims to be.
Now if we look at the runes found on graves, amulets and so on I consider this the poorest evidence of all. We have no way of telling who has written down these runes or why. Could be a sales man that just wants to make some money and telling them they are magical. Or on gravestone to scare away people. In Solomonic magic an amulet would never be enough to prove that Solomonic magic existed. Instead we would say that it could imply and use words like that. The Scholars on rune magic on the other hand sees this as hard proof.
That it was an oral tradition that was never written down before anyone can claim for everything. Yep the Key of Solomon was an oral tradition until it finally was written down. Same with the 6:th and 7:th book of Moses. So now we have proven that. Sorry people it simply do not work like that. The fact still is that we can not prove that Solomonic magic is older then the oldest text we have found and Rune Magicians can not prove that Rune Magic is older then the earliest text they have that describes it. Which would date it to the the earliest 1500′s.
It is interesting how many of these pagan religions and pagan magical paths claims things that they can not prove at all but on the other hand demand a much higher grade of proof for other religions and or magical systems.
